S1E5 – August 27, 2026
And we’re back! After a brief pause, The Raimicast returns with a bang to discuss Sam’s much-maligned sophomore effort and wacky cross-genre film, Crimewave (1985). And speaking of cross-genres, our very special guest this week is proud childless cat dad, omnivorous film slut, writer, YouTube content creator, podcaster, and the man behind our theme song, Ryan Lieske (Kill Me or Thrill Me!, The Unidentified Flying Podcast), who joins us to determine if Crimewave is an underrated classic, or if everyone involved should line up to take forty whacks, as Bruce Campbell says. Be warned: this episode didn’t get released, it escaped!
Check out Ryan’s work at Cinema Milkshake and give him a follow on IG at cinema.milkshake!
This week’s bonus image is a behind the scenes shot from the filming of Crimewave – see Sam giving direction to star Reed Birney on the streets of Detroit:
